Canon point: Because I dislike the entire concept of the vampire cure, particularly how it would affect children that are naturally born vampires, I am playing Kairi from some nebulous after Zero is dead but before Yuuki sacrifices herself. Kairi and her sister are both still vampires. '-'b I considered taking her after Kaname wakes up, but that gets into the complicated area.

Age: Appears 15 (I'm not taking a guess at her actual age because I have no flippin' idea.)
Height: Short like her mother
Weight: Svelte
Eyes: Silver-lavender
Hair: Silver
Appearance: Kairi comes across as very non-intimidating and a bit androgynous in her small stature. She speaks in soft tones, even though they sometimes hide sharper edges when her temper flares. She also has a penchant for long trench coats like other Hunters and prefers simple jewelry that won't get caught in a fight, such as her pair of silver rose earrings. She's usually wearing boots. In fact, her typical style often clashes with her soft looks, giving the appearance of a young teenager drowning in too many heavy layers. Kairi also has her casual wear of dress shirts and jeans and will wear simple dresses should an occasion call for it. She's not against dressing up, but Kairi can only play the refined daughter for so long before she gets bored and longs to return to her working gear. Like her parents, she also possesses a set of tiny fangs.

Personality: Kairi is the youngest of Zero and Yuuki's children, although her parents treated her and her older pureblood sister, Haruhi, equally. She is a noble level vampire of considerable power because of her lineage. While she can't rival a pureblood in power, she is definitely among the strongest of the non-purebloods. Despite this, Kairi has always felt lesser compared to her pureblood sister. This insecurity never manifested in jealousy because of how much affection her parents poured on them both and because Haruhi has always taken a protector role around Kairi, a role that Kairi often tries to reciprocate. Kairi has always looked up to Haruhi as much as she looks up to either of her parents and their friends. Instead, Kairi has devoted herself to becoming the best she can be in as many key areas as possible when it comes to strength. She and Haruhi were both trained by Zero in all forms of combat and in using their vampiric abilities. (Yuuki also gave Haruhi tutelage on pureblood powers.) Kairi also trains continuously to better herself and is always seeking out new fighting techniques to master. She remains perpetually unsure of herself and trying to prove something.

Like her father, Kairi is soft-spoken, but she also has his tendency to judge people heavily and to lose herself in her work. Balancing this is Kairi's habit of slipping into her mother's derpier personality whenever flustered or embarrassed. At these times, she can be a bit klutzy and her speech is more unsure. Kairi also attempts to be the more responsible of the siblings, her attempt to spare her sister some burden while Haruhi deals with the pressures of being a pureblood. She is quick to take charge of situations, even if people don't immediately acknowledge her as anyone of authority. The only exception to this is when Kairi is on a mission, which causes her personality to completely transform. Her lack of confidence disappears and she performs as any skilled fighter, even to the point of issuing commands. Though this more assertive mode can run into problems when matched with her vampiric side, making her a tad more aggressive during these times.

Kairi gets along surprisingly well with animals, considering her vampiric nature. She's fond of taking care of strays, although she doesn't own any. The family has horses, after all. Kairi was also a slower learner than Haruhi when it came to horse-riding since she was more nervous about doing well. She's now well-trained but still a bit reluctant to ride.

Like Haruhi, she grew up with legends about Kaname from Yuuki and has visited the tomb a few times throughout her life. She has always resonated with the stories better than Haruhi since it's still hard for things to feel as real for Haruhi, who has only ever known Zero to be her father. Kairi lacks the same personal connection and can therefore more easily embrace Kaname's former role in her parents' lives.

Because of her parentage, Kairi gets along easily with humans, but she has some trouble connecting with other vampires because of her desire to be a Hunter like her father. She can make the disconnect between most vampires and the Level Es, but it still creates a weird environment for her. This might also contribute to her general detachment from the rest of the nobility, although she loves her time with the former Night Class.
